We have had the pleasure of appearing on Morning Live multiple times,ENCA's Checkpoint, on E with Masechaba Lekalake and we have been on radio with Kasi FM, Cliff Central, Jozi FM and many others.
In our past events, we have enjoyed the assistance of speakers such as the Deputy Minister of the Department of Trade and Industry, Mr. Mzwandile Masina; Central Drug Authority Board Member, Mr. Peter Ucko; MMC of Health and Social development, Ms. Khosi Mabaso; CEO of Chilli & Co, Ms. Nonhlanhla Jiyane, to name a few
Our media reach affords us the opportunity to communicate to the community on a larger scale and to connect with them at a level that produces consistent engagement, not only do we seek to engage them at school or work but also in their homes.
Our outlook on the drug and substance abuse issue that our communities face is that it cuts across everyone and to that effect, we seek to engage with everyone we can get to. We seek to empower and educate as many people as we can and we have used every platform we have been afforded to do so. Our events are always about education and empowerment first.
The event seek fundraise funds towards intensifying this campaign and to intensify our clarion call for more adequately resourced treatment centres, Halfway houses and aftercare programmes particularly within our townships and to bring this huge urgent need to the attention of the private sector and relevant authorities, and extend clarity on how and why with an increase in the number of legitimate and accessible treatment centres, we can make strides in terms of substance abuse harm reduction and reduce the number of unlawful centres that exploit people
